As we say a fond farewell to Salon International 2024, it’s time to reflect on another 3 days of colour and creativity.
But before we dive into the details, we want to say thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand. It was wonderful to meet so many of our amazing customers across Saturday, Sunday and Monday. We hope you all managed to catch one of our live demos, speak to our fabulous Ambassadors and get your hands on some exclusive show deals.
But if you weren’t able to make it, here’s a recap of all the action from Salon International 2024!
Reflecting on a show-stopping stand
Once again, our stand made a real impact. Complete with bright and bold Directions branding, you could see our display from every corner of the ExCeL. This made it the perfect spot for a 3-day line up of creative colour transformations and exclusive show offers – and a favourite destination for visitors throughout the event.
Looking back at our live demos
If you stopped by our stand, you might have caught some of the creative live demos we hosted, demonstrating what’s possible with our one-of-a-kind shades. Led by top colour experts, these sessions definitely did not disappoint!
We were blown away by the captivating styles that came out of these masterclasses, and the rainbow of shades they used. And with our experts sharing their top tips at every step, everyone who attended walked away a little more informed and a lot more inspired.
To make sure nobody missed out on this experience, we recorded a couple of the demos to showcase how these colour creatives used our vibrant tones to craft pure hair perfection.
The first we’re going to look at is Sam Gaut’s (@samgauthair) ‘Pink Paradise’ masterclass. By using Cerise at the back, Carnation and Flamingo Pink in the front, and some added extensions throughout – Sam was able to create a bold and beautiful look we just can’t get enough of!
Another standout colour demo was Jaymz Rigby-Marsters’s (@jaymz.marsters) aethereal style. To achieve this unique look, he used a mixture of Denim Blue and Bright Daffodil. Lightened with some Directions conditioner and creativity, the result was nothing short of gorgeous.
Of course, these weren’t the only stylists we had on hand to show off their talents. Throughout the show, we were joined by the wonderful Jeseca McMahon (@jesdoeshair_), Amy Woods (@orla_salon) and Douglas Reid (@douglasreidhair) who all worked their magic on a number of models.
Directions Ambassadors Vanity Doll Salon (@vanitydollsalon) and Paco Latorre (@pacolatorre) were also in attendance, meeting fans, taking selfies and holding demonstrations.
Learning why our customers love Directions
Salon International is one of our favourite events because we get the chance to meet people as passionate about colour as we are.

A show full of unmissable deals and giveaways
Of course, no exhibition is complete without some great deals. That’s why we created a series of exclusive show offers you simply couldn’t pick up anywhere else.
And, because we were feeling extra generous this year, we also gave away custom-made Directions Scratch Cards with every purchase. By the end of the exhibition we’d handed out hundreds of fabulous prizes to our customers, making their Salon International experience that much sweeter!
